Civil Unrest & the War of Peace (Word)
It has become quite apparent that the Lord is speaking to me about upcoming current events in a tighter
fashion, meaning they are more in real-time. Once the protests began, along with destructive riots, I knew
the Lord had spoken to me about civil unrest coming but was not sure when He did so. I did not have to
search very long for it occurred on April 17, 2020 . On that day, I heard: Write this . Here is what I recorded.
"The Lord says: 'My presence is two-fold. I stand in judgment over the world and its governments
that have not freed the people but have kept them in bondage. Many in the west believe they are
free but they are deceived. They are in bondage to a corrupt system that seeks to keep them in
bondage to its corrupt ways. Corruption is deceptive.
'The day is coming. Civil unrest. War. Great calamity, destruction.
'By My spirit, the world is judged. It will be brought to the brink of despair as if all is lost. But then,
I will appear.
'However, during this time, My presence will rise up in My people who will go forth as warriors of
peace in the midst of war. In the midst of wars of destruction, I will arise in My people who will
fight the good fight—the war of peace. Peace wins! Then My people will usher Me in as the Prince
of Peace.'"
Little did I know that within forty days, civil unrest would break out across the country when the match
was lit by the indicted, criminal act of a Minneapolis police officer. A cry of racism had already been
attached to the pandemic, as reported by some news outlets, and, with this latest senseless death, the
cry has not only risen up but pent-up anger and frustration have also been released. Today's headlines
declare: Historic Tumult and Nationwide Chaos . (All words that have come to me over the years.)
Let me be clear that racism of any kind or color is evil, for at its core is bondage and an absence of love.
Anyone watching the video of the incident who is not, at the very least, disgusted by what they see is lost
in hatred. However, there is a much larger issue in play that I am sure is lost on most. We all are in bondage,
regardless of color or race or a host of other divisions, to a corrupt system that has kept us divided along
ideological lines. We have been pitted against one another, resulting in "the many" being blinded to what
is really going on. As a nation, are we losing (or: have we lost) our ability to truly live in peace and love as
ones created to be in the image of God? Based on the above word, are we headed for civil war ?
As harsh and dire as all this sounds, the good news is that Jesus stands in judgment of it all. What is
happening is not lost on God; in fact, through His Son, He has brought the world into the final judgment
of this age. As painful as this might be on varying levels for many, this is a good thing, for it is through this
judgment that the world will be set free from bondage to a beast-like world system and brought into the
glory of the kingdom of God. As shared elsewhere, for many, despair is a necessary part of being set free.
Another way to put this is that there is a cost to freedom ; it doesn't come cheaply. Those who know the
Civil War & the War of Peace
Lord Jesus as the Savior of the world know that He has already paid the price in full to set humanity free,
to bring all into the liberty of God. The one who died on the cross for the sin of the world has secured
humanity's freedom from sin and death and the satan. However, the day of judgment is upon the ones
who deny this truth to the point of even attempting to stand against it, as if they are gods in themselves.
Another word came to me on January 14, 2018 : War is coming. Jesus is in this war . Then, on March 2,
2020 , the word came: Behold, the day has come when no man sees straight. All their ways are crooked
and corrupt. They see what they want to see .
Yes, there are great injustices in the world today, and we have just witnessed one of them. But the reaction
to this injustice indicates a much more pervasive truth: the world is in rebellion against God's divine order
of love and peace and righteousness (doing things God's right way) . People of all kinds are not seeing
straight in this day and many are only seeing what they want to see. This is what blindness to God's way
produces. The world's way has placed itself above and over against God's way. We must reject what is in
rebellion against God the Father and His Son. Consider John's assessment of the conditions in his day.
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is
not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride
of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its
desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. (1 John 2:15-17 ESV [bold added])
John wrote these words as the age in which he grew up in was coming to an end. We are in a very similar
time as John was; we have grown up in an age that is passing away. The present world in which we live
has increasingly placed demands on all of us that keep us in bondage on many levels. But these demands
appeal to the desires of our flesh, the desires of our eyes, and the pride of life—all of which become idols
in our heart . Notice that the pride of life encompasses life. Life as the world seeks after has become an
idol itself. Why? Because it is not the life of the Son—the life that does the will of God.
Recently, a word came to me that the western world, especially America, has become like an adult
playground . This is what the love of the world produces. Unfortunately, this playground is becoming quite
dangerous. It seems that face masks (that offer minimal protection, at best) are a symbol of the bondage
brought on humanity through the world that is in rebellion against God .
Now, with this said; the most important word from the Lord is the last part about His presence rising up
in His people. I have much to say about this but will hold it for another writing. The point that needs to be
driven home at this time is that the Lord has a plan. He isn't simply judging the world as it goes through
great upheaval, leading to wars and utter despair. He is raising up His people in the midst of all this to be
a special vessel of peace in this day. King Jesus will wage a war of peace in the midst of the world's wars
of destruction that are built on confusion, chaos, lies, and a whole host of negatives . This is Jesus' war,
and He is going to wage it through His people. He is arising within His people. But let me make this personal
to all: He is arising in all His people who know Him personally and who are looking and longing for His
presence in a real and tangible way. This will manifest through the gushing fountain of His anointing that
dwells in each and every one who belongs to the Lord Jesus. This fountain will bring God's peace and love
to the world in order to usher in the Prince of Peace.
