THE UPWARD CALL
Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet;
but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,
I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God
IN CHRIST JESUS.

September 8, Wednesday - Dream
September 8, 2010
In case you missed it, today is Wednesday, September 8, 2010. For many people, this is just another
day. To the Jews, this evening is the beginning of Rosh Hashanah ( Trumpets ). For me, this marks
exactly three years since I first published The Upward Call , and this is the 504 th issue . This is also the
day that coincides with a dream I had about September 8, Wednesday . I believe these three things
coming together today have great significance. Let’s start with the 9-8 dream.
On June 26, 2003, I had a dream that was as vivid and as real as another dream I had about the number
61 , which turned out to be prophetic to us personally and is prophetic to the oncoming age, the seventh
day. The number 61 signifies 6 days of man and 1 day, the 7 th day, of the Lord. This is the 9-8 dream.
I was singing the song “ Silent Night. ” The words that struck me and that I kept repeating were “ holy
night, all is calm .” While I slept, I sensed the second coming of our Lord and that it was going
to be a calm night. Then I saw a paper like an affidavit slowly move across my vision as if on a movie
screen. I saw the date “September 8” scroll across the screen. There was no year attached to it. Then
I saw the word “Wednesday” scroll across the screen.
I had the impression that on Wednesday, September 8 , the Lord will reveal Himself to His people.
It would be at night and it would be calm. Of course, night could signify spiritual darkness and calm
could signify that the world is comfortable with this darkness. But I did not know the year.
In the second part of the dream, I saw myself with a group of people and two brothers in Christ that I
know. In a vision, I saw the Lord coming and I told the others. Then I saw people in the shadows or
dark places of a room; they were prostrate on the floor. I was given the impression that they were
being drawn out of darkness by the Spirit of God, and we were to disciple them.
According to the dream, September 8 th must fall on a Wednesday. This combination occurs on a
repeating cycle of 6 years and 11 years. From 2003, the years are 2004, 2010, 2021, 2027, etc. Nothing
noticeably obvious occurred in 2004 that coincided with the dream, which means I have been waiting
seven years with some level of expectation and, frankly, wonderment. What does the dream signify? Is it
the literal first resurrection and transfiguration leading to the coming of our beloved Lord? Or, is it
some great spiritual resurrection or anointing of the Lord’s conquerors to prepare them for the days
ahead? Or, is it something that only relates to my life with the Lord? Then, the other question is: Is it
manifested this year, or must we wait for another eleven or seventeen years? A lot of questions!
However, there is one more piece of data that might give a further clue. In my lifetime (through 2050,)
there are only two years when Wednesday, September 8 is associated with the Feast of Trumpets (i.e.,
resurrection). In 2010 , it falls on the evening of Trumpets , which is today. In 2021 , it falls on the
day after Trumpets . So, which one is it? The most likely candidate would be the one for this year ,
since it falls exactly on the day Trumpets begins . Since I do not believe in coincidences, this must
be God’s doing. For your information, the fall feast dates for 2010 are as follows:
September 8-9
Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah) [note: starts on the evening of the 8 th )
September 18
Day of Atonement
September 23-29
Feast of Tabernacles (days 1 through 7)
September 30
Great Day of the Feast, the Last Day (eighth day)
I believe that just as the spring feasts were precisely fulfilled at the end of Christ’s First Coming , so
will the fall feasts be precisely fulfilled to begin Christ’s Second Coming . Trumpets signifies the
first resurrection of the Lord’s conquerors, and Tabernacles signifies the transfiguration of His
conquerors into immortal, spiritual, glorified bodies [i.e., heavenly booths] in His image.
If I had no other data to go on, I would be left wondering about today, but I have been given many other
indications from the Lord. You can go back to some previous issues to see what I am talking about (e.g.,
#02-08140; 03-0928; 04-1001, 04-1002, 04-1053, 04-1071, 04-1072, 04-1074, 04-10110).
The latest indication has come to me through the number 504. Pythagoras, the father of mathematics,
said: “Numbers are the language of the universe.” I would add: Numbers are the language of God, for
He is the Creator of the universe. The gematria of the Bible reveals that God speaks to us through
numbers, as if the very fiber of creation is mathematical. By the way, gematria can be based on adding
up or multiplying the numeric values of characters.
Please keep in mind that I did not plan to make this issue the 504 th one. Plus, I had no previous
knowledge of the gematria associated with this number. So let us look at it.
To begin, the words Christ (zeros dropped) and Saviour each have a multiplied gematria of 504.
Thus, right from the start, we know it signifies our Lord Jesus. This is the foundation of 504, so to
speak. But then it gets very interesting. The gematria for each of the following phrases is also 504.
¾ Until Shiloh comes (Genesis 49:10) [multiplied]
¾ “the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ” (Revelation 11:15) [added]
¾ Seventh day (i.e., when Shiloh comes) [multiplied]
¾ “and they anointed David as a king” (2 Samuel 5:3) [added]
¾ “the tabernacle of David” (Amos 9:11, see Isaiah 58:12) [added]
¾ “the ransomed of the Lord will return” (Isaiah 35:10) [added]
Do you see the golden thread? They all deal with the second coming of Christ. Oh, Lord, come!
Shiloh is associated with Joshua the conqueror, and the first place the Lord placed His name after
Joshua led the sons of Israel into the land of promise. Joshua assembled the whole congregation in
Shiloh, set up the tent of meeting, and divided the land (Joshua 18:8, 10). Years earlier, Jacob-Israel
had spoken a prophetic blessing over his son Judah: “The scepter shall not depart from Judah,
nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until Shiloh comes , and to him shall be the
obedience of the peoples” (Genesis 49:10). Jesus came the first time and took the scepter of Judah,
but He is coming the second time as Shiloh-Joshua-Jesus to assemble His conquering people and,
through resurrection and transfiguration, lead them into the land of immortality. His first coming
established His Kingship ; His second coming establishes His Kingdom of many sons .
When Shiloh comes, the seventh angel will sound and the loud voices in heaven will proclaim: “The
kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ (Revelation
11:15). The seventh day is the Kingdom Age. David was anointed King of Israel; Jesus is the Anointed
King of Israel and all the nations on earth. “In that day I will raise up the fallen tabernacle
[ booth ] of David” (Amos 9:11). The Hebrew word for tabernacle is sukkah [ succoth ], which is the
same word used for the Feast of Tabernacles or Booths. In other words, it signifies resurrection and
transfiguration of the conquerors into immortal bodies (booths) in the image of King David-Jesus.
Finally, it is in this day that it can be said: And the ransomed of the LORD will return and come
with joyful shouting to Zion, with everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find
gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away (Isaiah 35:10). But you have come
to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem (Hebrews 12:22).
And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem … “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men
… and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any
death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have
passed away” (Revelation 21:2-4). There is so much more to add to this, but I must leave it here and
trust the Holy Spirit to fill in the details. On the other hand, this might not be necessary.
Dear brethren, as my good friend John tells to me, I am not genius enough to make this stuff up. I am
not even good with numbers. For me, the issue is one of interpretation and timing, not expectation. I
know there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries (Daniel 2:28). The word the Lord gave me
for 2010 is the word He spoke to Joshua: I have come (Joshua 5:14). For, yet a very little while,
and the One coming will come, and will not delay (Hebrews 10:37). Maranatha!
