THE UPWARD CALL
Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet;
but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,
I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God
IN CHRIST JESUS.

The Coming Irreversible Collapse
May 26, 2009
#
True to form, there are experts who are telling people how to position themselves to make a lot of
money during this crisis, even as it continues to “collapse” (busts), and especially when the system
starts to recover (booms). Of course, these experts make their money by telling people how to make
money in the markets. Such experts make money regardless of what happens to the markets since their
investment has been in their so-called expert advice, for which people pay. Nevertheless, no one is
talking about an irreversible collapse, a total collapse that demands it be replaced with an entirely new
and righteous worldwide financial governance, if you will, nor are they talking of the need for such a
hing. I added the word righteous to distinguish it from the much discussed new world order (of men).
T his is an important point to keep in mind when listening to all the so-called experts.
By the way, I use the phrase so-called because it doesn’t seem to take much “expert” knowledge these
days to be qualified as an “expert.” It seems that all one must do to become an instant expert is write a
book with a flashy title and be interviewed by the media, which in turn sells books and skyrockets the
book to the best-seller list. Unfortunately, we see the same phenomenon in Christendom; only, the so-
called experts become so-called “leaders of the church,” many of whom make a lot of money selling
their wares to believers blown about by every wind of doctrine (teaching).

As I have stated many times, I am not an economist, so all I can report on is what I read. However, what
I have read does not paint a very pretty picture of the world economy. The US economy is shrinking at
an annual rate of 6.1%, Japan at the rate of 15%, and the Eurozone at the rate of 9.8%. US
unemployment is approaching 9%, but some experts claim that this is not an accurate number, for it is
ore like 15%.
Out of fear, politics, and, frankly, horrible judgment, the US government has gone on a bailout and
spending spree that is bankrolled by the Treasury and the Federal Reserve borrowing and printing more
money (monetizing). The result or, perhaps, the fatal result is a federal deficit that has skyrocketed into
the trillions of dollars that cannot be paid back simply through the collection of taxes as the codes are
written today. Some experts describe Washington as a toxic government because it has taken on
trillions of dollars of toxic assets. As a result, the United States’ AAA bond rating is at risk and the
government bond market is tanking. Tied to this is the fact that China, Japan, and other foreign
investors aren’t as interested in buying our debt (bonds) as they once were, and some nations are
turning to other currency reserves for business transactions.
President Obama is very quick to point out that he inherited a mess on many fronts, as if to justify his
administration’s “bold and decisive action.” His administration has been famous in pointing fingers at

We need to understand that virtually everyone who is offering advice and so-called expert opinion on
the current financial condition of not only the US but the entire world, regardless of where they think
we are in the cycle of this crisis, that is, how much longer we have to go and how much more pain will
be felt, is confident that we will come out of the current crisis one day and all will be well once again.
This is true, but not in the way they think. Although some talk of collapse of one segment or another of
the worldwide financial/economic system, virtually no one is talking of a total and irreversible
collapse of the entire system . Simply, no one in the secular world, and even many in the Christian
world, seems to expect the entire beast system to fall in one hour and never rise again on the earth;
unless of course, one is among those who understand Revelation 18. Rather, most see the system
bottoming out and starting its recovery cycle, following the same principles that got it into trouble in the
first place. In other words, people have come to accept that the economics of the world follow up and
down or boom and bust cycles. I wrote about one theory regarding cycles, the K-wave theory, in issue
3-0945, March 14, 2009, Economic Cycles & The Jubilee .
the previous administration, blaming them, as if this is the reason why, on their watch that started only
four months ago, their excess spending is quadruple that of the last administration. It is as if they are
stating that the previous administration made them do it. This reminds me of Flip Wilson’s classic line:
“The devil made me do it!” Come to think of it, perhaps he is making them do it! After all, the world lies
n the power of evil. Of course, this is all in accord with God’s plan.
There is no sound logic or intelligence to what our government has done, and when some experts have
been asked how we will get out of this mess, several have shrugged their shoulders to indicate that they
truly do not know, for they state that what the government is doing is unsustainable. In fact, I have
heard some state there is no way out. Well, if there is no way out, then it means only one thing: the
entire system must collapse at some point. But again, no one in the secular media or the corral of
experts seems to be willing to use the phrase irreversible collapse because they think even with a
collapse (i.e., depression), the natural economic cycle will eventually lead the world out of it. I would
not place any bets on their expertise.
Consider this: today, many of the great shipping ports of the world are dotted with many ships sitting
idle, for they have no place to go because there is such little demand for goods. The economic beast
system of the world, which is mystery Babylon, is grinding to a standstill in fulfillment of prophecy:
‘Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! For in one hour your judgment has
come.’ “And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn over her, because no one buys
their cargoes any more…” (Revelation 18:10-11). The prophecy goes on to state every shipmaster
that makes a living by the sea will stand at a distance and mourn. Why? Because their livelihood has
isappeared, just as the ships in our day sit idle in the major ports of the world.
d
A s dire as this all sounds, as Christians, we need to be very encouraged and, frankly, excited.
The kingdom of men is on a collision course with the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ. Which
kingdom do you think is going to win? Which kingdom do you think is the best one? Which kingdom do
you think has the answers to the world’s mess? There is only one kingdom; it is the kingdom of Christ
and of God. There is only one King; He is Jesus, the Son of God, the Christ, the Messiah. God the Father
as set His King on Mount Zion (Psalm 2).
The only reason that the world goes through boom-and-bust economic cycles is because the system by
which the world operates is a beast system that is of man’s doing, which is why it is within the kingdom
of men. Don’t you long for a government (kingdom) that actually has the wisdom and knowledge to
operate to the benefit of all mankind and not just a few? Don’t you long for a government that does not
change with the whim, ideology, intellect, greed, ego, and pride of men, often driven by the lust for
power, position, and fame? Don’t you long for a government that supports an economic system that
does not go through boom-and-bust cycles but has a steady state of prosperity for all? Don’t you long
f r a government that stands for true righteousness, justice, and peace?
h
W ell, if this is your longing, then be greatly encouraged; there is tremendous news.
His kingdom (the Son of the Most High) will have no end.” (Luke 1:32, 33 NASB)
“In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be
destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an
end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever. (45) Inasmuch as you saw that
a stone was cut out of the mountain without hands and that it crushed the iron, the
bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold, the great God has made known to the king what
ill take place in the future….” ( Daniel 2:44-45 NASB)
Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The
kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will
eign forever and ever [the eons of the eons].” (Revelation 11:15 NASB [CV])
r
In order for this to take place, something else must take place: “So will Babylon, the great city, be
thrown down with violence, and will not be found any longer” (Revelation 18:21 NASB). This
is the irreversible collapse that is coming to the world nearest you. You can count on this expert advice
rom the only source of truth that we can trust in this day of Babel, meaning confusion. Bring it on!
