Your message burns in my heart and bones, and I cannot keep silent. (Jeremiah 20:9)

"Metaphysical" Crisis (Word)
In the early morning hours of December 1, 2012 , a word came to me: The world is in shambles. Nothing
is as it seems . (By the way; in shambles means in complete disorder or ruin .) It is safe to say that,
outwardly, 2012 was a tame period compared to where we are today in 2020, and yet, if we are to accept
this word, the world was in shambles eight years ago (or: at least began to be). However, the key is that
what we observed in the natural back then was not the reality of the times—that is, there was something
unseen that was transpiring that few, if any, recognized.
A destructive force was and continues to be at work; a word that recently came to me from Jeremiah
12:12: Destroyers have come on all the bare heights in the wilderness; for the sword of Yahweh devours
from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land. No flesh has peace . Plainly, this verse has
fulfilled, historical context, but it is being played out in principle in our day, as well. Our encouragement
is that the Lord Jesus is in the midst of all that is transpiring today, just as He was in ancient days. The
sword of Jesus-Yeshua (Yahweh) is the sword of His spirit that divides soul and spirit, even to judging the
thoughts and intentions of the heart. So, don't be dismayed by what you see transpiring in the world
today; know that King Jesus is in the midst of it all and that He is the Victor! He sees and knows the heart
of it all.
What I am about to share makes it obvious that nothing is as it seems goes along with the present state
of affairs unfolding across the globe. But before I do, another word came to me earlier this year that goes
along with the 2012 word. On March 1, 2020 , the Lord was encouraging me to stay the course and that
He alone is the course . Then He gave me a rather strange word: What you see, you don't know. What
you don't know, you will see . This is comparable to nothing is as it seems but with the encouragement
that it will be seen (i.e., understood). Whether this is simply a word for me or one for others as well, we'll
have to wait and see.
Now, in the early morning hours of June 21, 2020 , I received another rather unusual word. It started out
with one I have heard more than once, which led me to question it. What followed was something quite
unexpected. I heard: A crisis is coming! My initial response was: This is nothing new. You've said this to
me many times . Then I heard: This one is different. It is not political, financial, or medical, not even
physical. I T IS METAPHYSICAL !
However, the Father wasn't done speaking, for three days later, on June 24, 2020 , I heard: What is coming
is a crisis of the metaphysical itself; it is a crisis of what is reality. Warn the people: There is only one
reality upon which all is built—it is My Son! To this, I asked the question: How will this crisis manifest?
What will trigger the question? I then heard: The very foundation of science will be shaken. When
foundations are shaken, if they are built on sand, they will crumble. The day is coming!
Clearly, something is coming that will challenge the very concept of reality itself and will involve God's Son
and science. I suspect that something will transpire prior to or during this crisis that, most likely, could (or:
will) lead the many into a false or deceptive paradigm that denies and rejects the one who is reality. But
why the word metaphysical ? Some might argue this can't be from God, for our focus must be on spiritual
revelation , not the metaphysical. If you are in this camp, don't be so quick to come to this conclusion until
you have some understanding of the word itself. So, what is the meaning of metaphysical?
As with practically every field of endeavor, there are many currents (including cross-currents) running
through this word (much like Christian doctrine). Searching for a clear explanation of this word led me to
a site titled The Basics of Philosophy (see: https://www.philosophybasics.com/branch_metaphysics.html) .
Quoting directly from this site:
Metaphysics is the branch of philosophy concerned with the nature of existence, being, and the
world. Arguably, metaphysics is the foundation of philosophy: Aristotle calls it "first philosophy (or
sometimes, just "wisdom"), and says it is the subject that deals with "first causes and the principles
It asks questions like: "What is the nature of reality?", "How does the world exist, and what is its
origin or source of creation?", "Does the world exist outside the mind?", "How can the incorporeal
mind affect the physical body?", "If things exist, what is their objective nature?" , "Is there a God (or
many gods, or no god at all)?"
Aristotle originally split his metaphysics into three main sections and these remain the main
branches of metaphysics:
• Ontology (the study of being and existence, including the definition and classification
of entities, physical or mental, the nature of their properties, and the nature of change)
• Natural Theology (the study of God, including the nature of religion and the world,
existence of the divine, questions about the creation, and the various other religious
or spiritual issues)
• Universal Science (the study of first principles of logic and reasoning, such as the law
Mind you; this is only one of many sites that offer an explanation of this philosophy; but, clearly, one can
see how metaphysics relates to what we hold to be true as Christians. Obviously, the study of God and
creation (natural theology) is inherent in the study of scripture. Could we not say that scripture touches
upon all three branches? Going one step further, I submit that spiritual revelation is metaphysical and is
discovered in scripture. Here's why.
As I contemplated this, I asked for a scripture that leans toward or supports metaphysics. It came quickly,
based on a word from, perhaps, one of the earliest of the ancient metaphysical philosophers (some
describe him as a legendary philosopher-king )—King David.
When I observe Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You set in
place, what is man that You remember him, the son of man that You look after him? You made
him little less than God [ elohiym ; same as in Genesis 1:1] and crowned him with glory and honor.
You made him lord over the works of Your hands; You put everything under his feet: all the sheep
and oxen, as well as the animals in the wild, the birds of the sky, and the fish of the sea that pass
through the currents of the seas. Yahweh, our Lord, how magnificent is Your name throughout the
earth! (Psalm 8:3-9 HCSB [added])
What is man is a metaphysical question and one, by the way, that is repeated in Hebrews 2:6-9. The
answer is discovered in the one through whom and in whom all things were created. His name is Jesus.
Yet we are observing [seeing] Jesus , who has been made some bit inferior to messengers (because
of the suffering of death, wreathed with glory and honor), so that in the grace of God, He should be
tasting death for the sake of everyone. (Hebrews 2:9 CLV [added])
For all things were created in Him , the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, the visible
and the invisible; whether thrones, or lordships, or rulers, or authorities, all things have been
created through Him and for Him. (Colossians 1:16 LITV [bold added])
To discover more metaphysics in scripture, read Solomon's proverbs, especially the ones dealing with the
personification of wisdom (what Aristotle called first philosophy ).
Interestingly, my first exposure to philosophy was over fifty years ago when I was the class president
during my senior year of high school, which meant I played a part in selecting our class motto. We chose
a philosophical phrase from the French philosopher, René Descartes (1596-1650), often dubbed the father
of modern philosophy—one that has stuck with me all these years that I have often quoted to myself. In
Latin, it goes like this: Cogito ergo sum (French: je pense, donc je suis ) translated as I think, therefore I
am . Descartes arrived at this conclusion as he pondered the perceptions of reality (how do we know they
aren't illusions of demons) and how do we know we exist at all. Reworded, we could say: I think, therefore
I exist .
After all these years, I see that this motto was put in my heart by the Lord when I was a very young man,
even as I was not openly acknowledging Him in my life at the time (good news: He knew me in my mother's
womb, even before the foundation of the world). Today, I know I belong to the Lord and can say: I think
because of the I AM. Stated another way: I am (as a living, breathing, thinking human) because of the I
AM . Even more profound, those of us who have been given the faith to believe have lives that are hidden
in the I AM. This is a metaphysical revelation that transcends physics (science and physical creation) and
enters the realm of reality based on the one who is reality, for in this one all things were created. The
reality is the Son of God! May the eyes of our spiritual hearts be enlightened.
If what I heard is truly of God (and I have no reason to question it), then, along with the other crises I was
told would come (and have come), there is one in this vortex of the perfect storm that will deal with reality
I propose it will be the culmination of all crises that will cause humanity to come face to face with the
reality of its very own existence, of God the Father and His realm (dimension), and of His Son through
whom all things have been created and hold together . This will be the most profound crisis that humanity
has faced in its 6,000-year history. At this point, only God knows what this crisis will look like, for it will be
of His doing, not man's.
But what about science being shaken? During this pandemic, science has become the new god as officials
claim they are following the science and the data as they strive to keep the world population in bondage
to a broken and corrupt system based on failed ideologies, power, control, and the love of money; even
as there is an attempt to prep us for a global reset. This is a false god that the many are being driven to
worship and look upon as their savior. The sign of this bondage and the worship of this god is the
mandatory wearing of masks that have not been scientifically proven to do anything except give people a
false sense of security. This metaphysical crisis will shake this new god built on sand.
In light of this and from a slightly different angle, I see the potential for a man-made reality crisis (much
like the man-made pandemic) that could challenge the very existence of humanity. Case in point is a recent
article (June 20, 2020) in the Wall Street Journal titled Looking Forward to the End of Humanity . Elite
globalists with more money than they could ever use, along with their think tanks, are attempting to bring
about immortality through advanced technology. This is called transhumanism and promises that death
can be conquered physically, not just spiritually. To be clear, the God of creation and His Son who
overcame death for humanity are not in this so-called promise . One hope these transhumanists have is
that humans won't just use computers; they will become one. A project launched by the National Health
Institute in 2009 aims to map the neural pathways of the human brain with the possibility of translating it
into 0s and 1s that could be uploaded to a computer. Surely, this would challenge humanity's reality.
Naturally, this is only one possibility out of many. What if we are told (whether true or not) that humans
are not alone in the universe? Would this not shake the reality of even some Christians? Again, don't be
dismayed; the good news is that God has a plan, centered in His Son, that will not be altered or stopped.
Dear people of God, do not be led astray by all that is transpiring in our day that is so unreal and out of
order, as if everything is being turned on its head. It is unreal and out of order because it does not line up
with the divine order of God. Each and every day now, lies, deceptions, and manipulations are
masqueraded as truth, some of which are claimed to be based in science, as if science has the last word
on a matter. Much of it is built on sand. And this doesn't even address the boiling pot of various ideologies
and grievances (real and contrived) spilling over into protests, riots, and censorship on a major scale.
The good news is that Jesus, our Lord and King, stands as the reality in the midst of it all. He is waging the
battle for humanity and nothing will thwart His victory. He alone is the foundation of humanity with all
the super structure of God built upon Him. All that is not of His life will crumble into the ashes of man's
history, never to rise again. We can be sure of one thing—when Elohim created humanity to be in His
image (of God's Son), the day was declared very good. Now, because of the death, resurrection, and
glorification of the second man, Jesus, humanity is destined to be in His image as a new creation having
been transformed into a spirit-animated body, described by one commentator as transphysical —where
heaven (spirit realm) and earth (physical realm) come together as God has always planned these realms
to be. When our eyes are opened to the reality of the spirit realm, we will discover that it explains and
reveals the true nature of the physical realm.
I have been told to warn the people, and so I must. There is only one reality that matters. Jesus proclaimed
that He is the Truth , which is another way of saying He is the Reality! Don't be persuaded otherwise.
In the first century, Pilate asked a metaphysical question: What is truth? Many things can have some
element of truth, but there is only one thing that can be the truth—the only source or origin of truth itself.
Original, absolute truth is reality! Jesus made the most incredible statement: I am the Truth . If He had
died and stayed in the grave, His declaration would have been laughed into the dust bin of history. But it
wasn't because it is true. The good news is that the grave could not hold Him, thus validating that He is
not only the Truth but the very origin of all truth, beginning with the origin of life itself.
In the midst of all that is happening and yet to come, lay hold of God's reality—Jesus who is the Son of
God! He is our way through the metaphysical crisis that is coming.
